Oddball lead item with a nail in it..

Maybe some kind of roofing item? The nail is round so it's modern. Odd pattern on the lead.

Possibly an older type roofing nail. When hammered in, the lead was soft enough to seal the holes, they're still available today, but mostly in a screw form... "D"

I guess I've dug a hundred lead roofing nail caps in the short time I've been metal detecting. Just gotta dig them I guess. This thing weighs 3 or 4 ounces.
