Hi,
I found this token in down town Ogden Utah when they were digging up the town for the new IRS building. Lot's of nice tokens came out of that lot. But the trash was terrible and it took the Minelab with Iron Reject and super slow detecting to pull anything from that lot. The one side has J-H-L&CO GOOD FOR ONE DRINK THE PEARL, the other side has ASK FOR THE UTAH CIGAR.
I can't seem to find it in any Token books, any Idea on it's price?

This token is listed in the Utah Trade Token book published in 1998 as having a value between $25-75. It is attributed to Ogden, Utah.

Nice find! Last time I was in Ogden Donnie and Marie were toddlers! And there were no bars in town. But there was a man who showed everyone in the local restaurant what he found. A three legged buffalo nickel. So keep looking there just might be more!

Nice token!!! Is THE PEARL the name of a establishment or the beer? I found in the San Antonio Daily Light of San Antonio, Texas on 30 September 1897 an advertisement for:

Pearl Beer, purest and best. Made by the S.A. Brewing Ass'n (city brewery)...

Nice! I've yet to dig a Utah, that's a real nice one. Way better than the usual Merc or Indian, it's got personality! Any idea how many are known to exist?
