Detector(s) used
Whites Classic II
2 hours in my own yard. There are LOTS of roofing nails about 2" down. I can now tell them from coins by sound..

Didn't find anything exciting. Lots of modern pennies, I think one steel penny but it's about shot and a church key down pretty deep. With the rust bloom around it, the detector really sounded off!!

I did find the pin pointer very handy, especially in the dense soil we have. I can poke around in dig clods and pick out the coins.

This is my first real time out and I will admit it was fun.

Its always great to get out. I enjoy digging pennies - or just about any coin at that ;)

sounds like you had a good time.

That is what it is all about.

Hope you find a bunch.

Keep it up, just think, the season for detecting is just beginning to start, you have many days ahead.

I love my pinpointer. Even if the XLT says 1.5 inches, I still run the pinpointer over the surface first, and have been lucky to have it beep sometimes, and locate my target.
