I have found hundreds (no exageration). I don't know what they are but I know they're in the hedge now.

I always thought something to do with window latches.

But maybe someone can add to my rubbish knowledge.

dugfinds...I thought for sure you would know! hahah I knew they were very common in the UK. I figured nothing special...but always wanted to ID them.

From memory, the ones I have found are no bigger than 30mm in length, but they do vary in size. Made of Brass & I think not much older than 100 years.
