I found this old brass lock at the local flea market this morning, it's marked:

W. BOHANNAN 074 BROOKLYN N.Y.

any idea when it was made? Im curious how old this lock is?

The firm of Wilson Bohannan (successor to Bohannan & Gibson) was founded in 1860, remained in Brooklyn, NY until 1926, and then relocated to Marion, OH, where it remains in existence today as the Wilson Bohannan Padlock Co.

cool! then it probably dates back to sometime before they relocated

my guess, probablly early 1900's - 1925 era
