old button maybe,even a badge date looks 1852?

hello went with a friend on monday to a spot with 1876 -1946 college,the grounds are a park now still has alot of the building an all old trees ,an the sports field was for ceramony im sure, we was there a short time an i found this button or badge not sure if its a badge or button the date is on the horn at the big end of it,i can read most of the date 1852 im sure i need to have someone clean it an check the date for sure,im sorry my camera cant get good detail on the date, any help would be great on this item .ill post again the imfo on the item .thanks for looking,also i found couple wheats a token braclet the clad gods are good to me this week,an a skull thing,
