Hi , I need some second opinions on this item, looks to me like a button but I'm not sure of its date or what it came off of :/ if anyone could help that would be great! It's marked 3 on each side

Also a hem weight. Used in jackets. Found some with Great Seal buttons last year. Obvious the jacket was left long ago and got all the buttons and hem weights.

These hem weights date all the way back to the 1700's.
