Old button ?

Hello Tnet found this button on a field where I've found a lot of pottery, coins dating back to 1783 and a lot of other beatiful stuff.

i think the item is brass and it shows a lion with a sword.
It looks like there is even some cloth in the back of the button.

Its almost 22mm wide (0,86 inch)

Any body an idea how old ??
