I am looking for further information on a specific item that has been in my family for over a century as far as I am aware. It is a glass chandelier.

I saw an episode of Antiques Roadshow where a person had a lamp that was fairly similar to the chandelier, only obviously smaller and different colors, and I can't remember the city & state they were in for the episode. Anyway, the description I can give of the chandelier is as follows:

It is electric and is mainly green glass. It has brown cat tails, white lily pads with brown or orange centers. I remember the episode of A.R. saying that the particular maker set the glass in lead, and that they were one of the leading competition of Tiffany back in the day. My mother, however, believes that the chandelier is an early Tiffany with no signature.

I am trying to find out what is right, who the maker is(I seem to remember the name being French or maybe Italian, maybe something like Capone or with a similar "one" at the end or a similar sound to the name like that)

I do understand that a picture would be helpful, but as I am doing this for my mother and she is leery of any web sites, so as to not get yelled at, I cannot do a picture at this time. Any help is appreciated!

I did a quick search on "Tiffany Lily pad chandelier". Tiffany did make lamps with a "Pond Lily" motif in the very early 20th C. Most of what I saw were table top lamps. The ones marked Tiffany were pretty pricey. If they weren't marked... not so pricey.

Take it to someone who restores stained glass. I have a 100+ y.o. stained glass window as a decorator item in my house. When I took it for some repair the person immediately identified the glass maker. My piece is not a Tiffany but the compay identified made glass for Tiffany.
