OLD COPPER BUTTON??

Any ideas on what kind of button this is any help would be appreciated it's heavy copper 7 point star on the outside with a little star in the middle??

cool button. Whats the back side like? Where did you find it? More info please.

Found in a west central Indiana field about 8 inches underground

Any markings on the back? Is the loop in tact? Is there a mold crease? What is the size?

There is some markings I can make out co but thats it didn't want to clean it and ruin it the loop is gone unfortunately and it's the size of a nickel

Couls be a crude edelweiss The real button guys will chime in. Without the back I am stumped. Looks to be quality and very old
