This is another piece from the old family farm rock pile. It cleaned up nice - has a little logo on the gear wheel - looks like an S inside an outline. There is another mark but I can't make it out. Total height is 30 1/2", gear is 6 5/8" diameter and 1 1/2" wide with a double row of teeth. No idea what it is from but I also found a 1925 Swan manifold nearby.

The copper plating was used along with the heat treating process. Only certain areas required the heat treat. Usually journals and bearing surfaces; the higher wear areas. I have no idea what these parts were from originally. How did you clean them up?

I just used a soft brass wire wheel.

Idk what it's for other than a old inline 6 cylinder. But that would make a cool lamp!!!
