I pulled this out of a yard with a home dating back to the mid 1800's. My first thought was that it resembles a modern day wedding band. It's flat on the inside, with a slight curve on the outside, much like one. There is a destinctive solder mark that was used to fuse it together. For all I know it could be just a typical copper fitting. Any thoughts? 1494019449757.webp1494019460593.webp

Looks like a copper ring to me. Whether or not it's meant for a finger, i don't know

COULD BE AN OLD "POORMANS" WEDDING BAND -ive found brass ones from the 1800s
Slaves sometimes were allowed to wear copper or brass ones down south when married

I've found lots of old "fitted/repaired" rings with the solder seems like the one you found. You'll often see this in silver and gold rings as well.

It used to be real popular to wear copper rings and copper bracelets - supposedly helps with arthritis.
