Nice finds. The Vincent Bach item is a trumpet mouthpiece. Your beer can dates to the late 1940's, I believe. Interesting knife, too. Welcome to Treasurenet by the way!!! -Ben

The Blue Ribbon thing and the two rectangled plates with slots in them are harmonica parts.

The spark plug looks like pre-1940. Maybe early 30's. I know Packard used big plugs like that. Ford model T and A used them too, I believe.

The silver tube is a reel seat for a fishing pole.

The item with the large ring, and three bullets inside, is one half of a horse bit.

Yes... half of a snaffle bit.

The nails could be pole date nails. The dates were on the heads so the age of the pole would be easy to determine. Or they could be identification nails, for indicating which circuit or line was running on the pole. Not used anymore. The green glass could be part of a two-part insulator. Maybe.

Quite the nice variety of finds. Hope your boss doesn't see this thread. LOL

Well, in that case I hope she reads this, too: GIVE THE GUY SOME TIME OFF WITH PAY SO HE CAN GO METAL DETECTING.
Hope that helps. LOL

It looks like the white disk at top is part of an old mason jar lid and the screwy thing looks like a corkscrew.

Yep, Ant is right about it being a corkscrew. The thing probably had a green wooden sleeve that slipped over the business end of the corkscrew when it was new.

Is the green glass thing hollow? It's not easy to tell in the photos. If it's hollow, it could indeed by the well for an insect sprayer as SWR pointed out.

A close up of the knife would be great, if possible.

Second line looks like "Guatemala". First line is a little tougher.

That knife is quite the puzzler. Anyone remember the Cargo Cults that sprang up during & after WW2? Airplanes brought wonderful things to remote islands, so the islanders built runways and whicker airplanes to try and draw the Cargo Plane Gods back with the wonderful treasures. Maybe someone carved that inscription because he admited the lettering on an airplane. I doubt it was in flight issue, but I've flown on airlines where it would be a possibility.

I think the "deity" is a Catholic saint. Mayans didn't have bronze, let alone iron or steel. ;-)
