Sorry guys, this was found about two months ago and I almost threw it away today not knowing what I had.

Found this at the honey hole. Got a strong signal amongst a lot of trash and iron. Thinking the glass looked pretty good after digging 6" with a lot of trash and iron I decided it was a keeper.

It rang pretty high but when I pulled it, it turned out to be what I thought at the time another salt shaker. Well, until today when I was cleaning my scrap table and looked at it closer. Upon closer inspection I observed some detail on the lid, so I decided what the hell I'll clean it with electrolysis

And bang! It has some beautiful detail but what was prettier, was the sterling mark with stamps...

Thank you God for not letting me throw it away!

Enjoy!

Damn TY that thing is beautiful

I believe it has a mark of Gorham silver. I think it's part of a vanity set. Wonderful cut crystal also.

You big DUMMY. lol glad you did pick it back up

How could you have even of come close to of thrown that back?
Beautiful!

Well, It didn't look as pretty before I cleaned it, lol. I'm trying to find pictures of it before the cleaning. I think I posted it before with a some other finds. I looked it up and it is Gorham but i can tell the date, I think it is 1800's
