I found this flag/banner hanging on the wall in an old barn . Is it nautical ? or maybe a college sports flag ? Any ideas will be appreciated .

Funeral flag was the first thing I thought of also. Maybe a funeral director local to the area could help.

look's more nautical(being an old salt myself)then funeral,although it is black w/f,etc.which could imply a funeral...F is also a distress signal for"need food&water".it has the shape of a nautical flag...could it be a custom made flag for a boater? i'll continue to look,tokenhead.
