Old Fort Ash Pit - Rare Great Seal Backmark

Just found a Great Seal overcoat button backmarked with W & S LYON ** NEW YORK. It looks to have a two piece face. The rim and eagle seem to be separate from the underlying lined face. Anyone seen or heard of these before? I would guess this was a high end button.
