Old friend from Galveston

Does anyone know the name or web site of a beach hunter that lived and hunted the Galveston area? He passed away a year or so ago but his wife left his web site up. Don't know if it's still up now or not, but was really full of great info not only for his area but beach hunting overall.
He was a retired NASA engineer best I remember.
Any help would be appreciated in advance.
