I found this on the same mountain as the buttons. I looked for marks, but found none. It's about 2 3/4" to 3" across.

Thanks, I sure do. I pulled coins, jewelry, cast iron cap guns, marbles and some nice bottles as well. it's been hit hard but it's still coughing up some nice stuff. SP

Its a hat emblem. Similar in design to the Enlisted Army Great Seal emblem for their service caps. Not sure who would use it though.

I'm curious as to how many stars on the flag, can't quite tell from the photos; maybe the number of stars will help you date it. Andi
