I thought this is an old General Motors king pin, but the pin is 2 piece, so not sure. 5 1/2" long and 3/4" diameter, the pin will split apart. Looks to be brass plated steel. Tried to Google the pn, but didn't come up with anything.

Is it round or oval? It looks like a differential pin but i have never seen a two piece.

Sure does look like a differential cross pin.
Maybe th 2-piece pin allows the mechanic to be able to replace the pin without having to remove the ring gear from the differential case. Basically slide one half in turn it 180 degrees and slide the other half in then use the original style roll pin to retain both halves like a single piece pin. Just a guess.
