Thak You

Metal shop project. How do you figure it old? People still make things by hand in metal. I know I do.

Actually... that is pretty cool.

Looks like an amature project... I really like it.

No idea on age though.

That would be a figurine of a Knights Templar, Sir Ova. He was banished from the crusades because he was chicken. His ancestors were banished from England in 1215 and finally took a round about route to the New World. Due to the disgrace, all remnants of the likeness of Sir Ova were sold and can be found on occasion in various places across the US. All this is true except of course the part I made up. Dang, I haven't a clue. Can it be opened? Sometimes the builder would put a scene inside. Monty

That chicken gives me the creeps. Bio-engineered food...

The eggs looks, well, crudely made. More like a school project, than an "artisan" from antiquity.

Obviously handmade... but Fabergé egg was probably my first thought, even though it is crudely made. I doubt they'd make out out of materials like that, unless it was a practice egg. It does have an intricate design around the center ban kinda like this Fabergé egg. ???

After consulting the "Book of Armaments" I have your answer! :icon_study:

The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch :icon_jokercolor:

Good thing you have that, I hear killer rabits are going to be bad this year.

it looks like it wrapped around an egg form beneath...it is still cool

maybe it is the Holy Hand Grenade, :tard:, a very very valuable find in that case

I have no idea what it is but I think it's awesome. There is no way of telling if it is student grade or made by a true artist. Elephants are known to create abstract expressionist art similar to Jackson Pollack. True art is in the eye of the beholder. I'll give you $5 for it ;D

I could tell that by your post count. But if you had not posted that fact, you'd be one post short. :poke: :tongue3:

Metal class project or, maybe look at a Pier one store catalog.
I see stuff like this often at Pier one imports, a store that specializes in cheap imports.
Sorry to be a sceptic.
I see nothing remarkable on this piece
Its real easy to antique / patina stuff like this
