I went to an old school I've been hunting on and off for years, sometimes I score, sometimes I don't. Today I did
The signals are far and few in between, first hour produced only beaver tails and a 22cal casing. I moved to another spot and first signal was a repeatable high tone with jumping VDI numbers, but, nice tiny red dot when coins normally hit with target trace on the CTX. Dug a nice deep 7" plug and at the bottom, straight up and down I could see the rim, what a beautiful sight to see. Scored a nice 1927 merc. Not 20 minutes later I get a mid repeatable tone that was reading 1-37 1-39 with no target trace, but, good tone. At 9 1/2'" deep I pop what I thought was a Mexican coin until I flipped it over and saw the shank. I've taken a few military buttons outta here, I haven't researched it yet, but, I'm thinking WW1 great seal collar button, no back mark. It turned out to be a nice 2 hour little hunt.
Running the CTX with almost open screen, Man sens at 24, deep on, low trash and combined tones.
