Newbe here.
So here is the story. Me and my 9yo son started metal detecting. We went on my wife great grandfathers property. The home was built in the late 1890s to 1910 and all barns, tool shops and other building were built in or around 1900 to 1910. Her great grandfather passed away in 1949, he was 81. The house burned down in 1987 from vandalism. We found the first item in the "work shed" that he built by hand. We pulled old spark plugs and engine parts from here.
It is copper with whole all the way through it.
The second item was found near the "bee shed" in the dirt. This is just one that was attached to a wire with twenty others just like it. It looks like something to hang crops or something like it.
