Here is a pic of some relics I have found at a old home site. I have found a lot of old coins too and have posted those in the past, this is most but not all of the relics I have found. Some I'm not sure of what they are but very cool stuff. Enjoy image-78258400.webp

Excellent finds! I recognize a spigot, a crotal bell buttons. That silver spoon would make an awesome spoon-ring. Looks like you have a very good site to continue working on.:occasion14:

thanks John maybe I should send you the spoon because I'm sure I don't know how to make a ring out of it lol. There are going to be a lot more coming from this site once the weather breaks because this site is close to my house and it's my late afternoon hunt site when I don't go anywhere else. Also a great place when you have a busy day or only have a short time to hunt.

Just wondering how far from the house did you find them and if there's any big trees on the property I would search around them. Please keep showing us pictures.

its prob 300 yards from my house but it's all fields around my house. There is some old trees in the woods that's a half mile behind my house but all trees on my property are at the most 75 years old and I've hunted them. This summer I'm going to widen my search and cover more ground in the area but have been concentrating all my detecting on this site in the heavy trash area where my at pro shines. I've been using the 5x8 lately but not long so I need to cover the site where I've been with the stock coil when the snow melts again.

The Lock ............. damn, I found the side of that lock 20 yrs ago and never could figure out what it went to .............. the x marks the spot !!!! Thanks for posting

no problem I researched it when I found it and figured out it was a common rail road signal box lock late 1800s to early 1900s. They were also used in mail boxes I was told. I may have gotten wrong info but that's what I found.

I have a lock like that one. How long was the house in existence ?
