So..I found this a couple months ago and was showing off my "junk" (as my wife so affectionatly calls my trasures) to my oldest son home from the army. He noticed what appeared to be a letter in the iron. We did some sanding and sure enough, plain as day There is a stamp in the bottom that reads "BALTIMORE"! I have no idea what this was used for or what "BALTIMORE" means. Just super curious. Any help is appreciated. I found what i believe to be a privy pit and home site from 1800s. This came out of the pit. A wwhole lot of glass. Its still full of stuff. When i bore of the parks and school I go dig a little more. My Therapy Couch. Thanks for looking. 001.webp002.webp003.webp004.webp005.webp006.webp

Baltimore had many steel mills.

Looks a bit like the lower cutter plate from an old push mower.

Sutphin, I beleieve the "old stove part" it probally correct. I found in the same hole a door that I was certain came off an old woodburning stove. Maybe an inner piece. It was exciting to see something stamped in it. Thanks to all.
