I found this at a place I have hunted before. I love the old brass plates. It reads aluminum lightning arrester, alternating current, general electric co, Schenectady New York USA. Pat date is 1911. IMG_0003.webp The necklace has some gold plates on it, and is interesting. It is surprising the ground is not frozen here. We are due for a storm tomorrow. Lots and lots of close lightning in the spring. I saw it strike 2 houses away and it started a fire right up the street. I am hoping always for a rainy spring. 2018 will be a great year for detecting! Here's a nice pic walking the dogs this am!IMG_0006.webp Happy hunting!!!

Dang - love that Aluminum Lightning Arrester tag! Did you see the volts? WOW!

Very interesting find, congratulations! :occasion14:

Thanks for the posts. I love anything having to do with early electricity! It must have sure been an interesting field to be in at the time!!!

Hello diggingthe1. Real nice set of finds you got there. I have been told that handles like the one you have pictured went to carriage clocks. See link below.

Thanks for the post and Good Luck out there. C9

Thank you C9, I have found quite a few drawer pulls. This one does seem a little different. Glad you noticed it:) I appreciate the link! Now I need the clock that goes with it! Happy hunting down there:)

Nice going on the arrester plate! I never heard of them before. Thanks for the other picture from your walk with the dogs.

Very cool,, maybe the lightning arrester plate was one of Ben Franklin's ideas? Lol
