Was going to mow grass today, but the alternator froze up on the tractor and can't get part until tomorrow. Nothing left except to head for the corn field. Found what I think may be old military ring, can still see some gold gilt in places. It's heavy for its size, thought it was a kids ring at first, but too well made. Any ideas appreciated. Good luck to all. Art

Wow... cool find... looks like some copper in the mix ... any way a little washing / rub down in some hot soapy water ?

Could be a WWII Military Sweetheart Ring, given to the girl back home when the soldier went off to war. His initials would have been engraved into the ring. Does it look like it would fit a woman's finger?

Ive found a few in gold and silver with that style eagle on sides - mine were pre WW II

my 14k gold one was dated 1933
was told one of my silver ones dated around that time too
both were military

It could be a woman's ring. The eagles don't have shields on their chest. Could they be German in origin? Thanks for your interest and input.

most likely American made... copper with gold plating / gilt WW2 era sweetheart ring
