Old narrowtrack find

Found this today at the base of an old narrowtrack that ran from an old mining camp down to the main line. Any thoughts? Looks like part of a big hinge to me. I tried taking of some of the build up with a wire brush to see if I could find a mark or stamp of some sort, but no luck.

With the context of where you found it, I would say rail car / ore cart hitch.

Looks like a hinge to me too. That bolt on the bottom in the 3rd pic suggest's to me it's not for a house but a container. I might be inclined to see what else is in that immediate area...
