I just saw this in the newspaper
George Scott, 84, has been looking for an original account of the sinking of the 1715 Spanish treasure fleet and recently found one with the help of another researcher. A pamphlet printed in London in 1716 gives the account of the fleet lost during a hurricane off the Florida coast. Scott is donating the pamphlet to the McLarty Museum at the end of the month. "It really belongs to the public, it belongs to everyone," Scott said. "I'm lucky enough to get it and hold on to it for a while, but this should go to the American public."
