I went detecting today in a park that was once a dump in the 1920's and found a part that I am clueless about. I looked up the patent number, but didnt come up with anything. The piece looks almost silver-plated. Does anybody have any Ideas on this one?

Oh yeah! That makes perfect sense now that I look at it. Any ideas to how old this one would be?

Although it’s a whole lot like the part described, this patent here (from 1938) for a leaching system does include the apparatus for it, so I can’t help but think it’s related to it.

-I can’t tell, is this piece threaded, or is it just ribbed?
