Neat phone! R those words on the front ?

Yes, but I can't see it good enough to read it.
The receiver says, Bell system Western Electric Company.

1940's - 1950's rural-type multi-party line phone...

Had a similar phone on our farm...number of rings signified who a call was for.

1 ring for operator, 2 for Smith, 3 for Mills, 4...and so on...

Everyone listened in to all calls...

I have an antique telephone table you can set that on for 200 bucks.

I can't say exactly what it is worth, but I had a garage sale awhile back and one guy asked specifically for old dial up or pre dial phones. He says he makes a killing selling them online...So my guess is it is worth a few bucks!

I remember those days of party lines and everyone listening to everyone's call...or even joining in....that was before we had a television to keep us busy.

Nice phone !!!!! Crank it up style... ;)
