Old pocket knife in creek

Well after work me and my son got out for about an hour. We decided to give the creek a try well about 30 mins in along the cliff wall I got a mixed tone, well it was about 4 inches of water to the gravel so I started digging and digging then wait for the dirt to clear the water well I got about 8 inches down and I felt around and found this puppy it says on the knife " best English steel full warranted

Also the knife looks to be copper on the outside has anyone seen something like this before ??
 
Cool find... have you checked to see if they will replace it under that "fully warranted"?


Any indication of how old it is?
 
Can't find anything yet on it but my guess is 60+ years old I haven't seen a coper knife in a long time

Those are my favorite finds! I have found a few, always a great day when I pull up a knife! Great Job!
 
Awesome I think I found it online from what I can see it is a 1917 keen kutter "budding" keen kutter was a offshoot of the 1874 Simmons hardware co. Made by the Walden knife co
