Found this today at a dump. It is very old and has many inperfections. Any help would be appreciated especially age, maker, and use.

To me it stylistically looks like a Danish Modern form, from perhaps the 1950's. I can always be wrong though.

I think its possible that lid originally went to a different piece of a tea service (perhaps the tea pot). Note that the correct lid seems to be a more streamlined design

Wow! Thanks for the help, hopefully I can find the appropriate parts to make both pots complete. I am glad I know more about the lid now, I can't wait to tell my folks.
