Hi Everyone,
I finally got over to search an old ranch that dates back to the mid 1800's. As I began my search I had some company, which I took as a good omen. Unfortunately I guess the peacock gods were wrong as I managed to find .94 cents all clad, some old square nails, some sort of old lid with a cool design on it, 6 brass shotgun shell ends, old wire, and in the lower middle of the finds photo a large lead whats it that was about 13" deep. Oh well at least it was a beautiful day. Thanks for looking, and happy dirt fishing to all....:)

Keep @ it you just need to find the Hot spot

The peacocks may want you to search somemore, being you cleaned out the newer stuff .Bring birdseed and patience with you on the next hunt & perhaps your Luck may change. Still a good day out there on the ranch.

Well You never Know Those birds may lead you to the pot of gold There has to be something old there Ricky , Find the borders and the hedge rows pound the heck out of them Shoot around any water , something will come up . I find lately you have to think outside the box . You will step in it soon we all do . HH Rob :coffee2:

Glad she enjoyed them they followed me all around the barnyard...:) This ranch will take forever to hunt as it is 117 acres, mostly in pasture and alfalfa. so far I've only done around the ranch house and a couple out bildings.

Sounds like you had a hunt like mine. Look forward to it all week, and then.. :dontknow: . But at least we got to get out there. Might be a banner California Gold coin on that spot.

Man that would be awesome, although I'd settle for a few Indian heads and a silver or two...:)
