This ring has been in the ground for a long time.
Its only I dont know if its recent or how old is it. It is not magnetic and the base colour looks silverish, with rose/white patina in some places.
It has been found alongside some roman coins.

1st - I noticed this was your very first post Makanudo - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

2nd - I moved this request over to What Is It? for more exposure.

Welcome to TNet.

I would assume silver, but can't tell. It has no signs of the plating popping off of it, and you said it was old, any other metal would corrode in the ground. (except gold & platinum)

Looks too modern to me to be Roman, but I no expert. The band looks machine made, as opposed to hand made.

I believe it is around 100 years old, and had stones (glass) in the mounts at one point.

I am also assuming you looked really well inside that band for a mark. Older jewelry might not be marked.

Congrats on the find sir!

Thank you for kind words of welcome.
Actually, I browsed the sub forums for my country threads, but didnt find any.
I believe this theme is not area related.

Thank You Carolina Tom!

Actually, you opened my eyes... I was all caught up in thinking it must have been ancient roman, because I saw similar roman artefact online.
When I cleaned it I only glanced over it for markings. After your post, I took a carefull look and, surprise... there are four tiny markings.
I shall try to make a photo and post it

It might say: Sterling or .925... and possibly who made it, the makers mark. These tend to wear off of the inside of the band easily though.

Very well done. Now go find something else to show us.

Best of luck to you!

I think your picture is upside down and the stamp is 925 for silver.
Congrats on the silver ring find.
