Old school and church site

Got permisson to hunt and old school and church site today. Took a walk around the area and located where the church used to be. Lots of trash in the area and it is overgrown. I might take a rake and a hatchet with me next trip and clean it up a little. Not sure what i might find there. my understanding if that the church burned down about 30 years ago and still not sure where the school might have been located.

I went back to the site saturday for a few hours and started cleaning it up a little, lots of old bottles and trash metal laying around, might take me awhile to get it set up so i can detect. Meanwhile heading to the local courthouse and library to see what information i can find.

good for you taking the time and effort to clean the place up, it speaks well of your personality. I suspect your efforts will be well rewarded. I've detected in town and many times offered to do yard work for the pleasure of keeping whatever I'd found. It was a good deal both ways..............63bkpkr
