I went for a short hunt in the cold yesterday, I had found a shotgun brass. I just thought I would share that using a age ID on these brass shotgun headstamps can help age possible finds on your sites. I had the brass soaking in 3-in-one oil last night and was able to finally read what was on it. It has W. R. A. Co. across top, No. on left 9:00 position and 12 on right 3:00 position and RIVAL across the bottom. I found this on a site ,which I will put the link to in my thread. It is the sixth one down in the right hand column if you scroll down from the top. 12 gauge 1884-1929.
I just think it's interesting being able to get a date from a old shotgun brass.
