I know what it is. Just don't know much about it except when my g-grandmother passed it was found in an old trunk. I think it is silver plated copper but dont know how old it is or who made it. It has dutch scenery etched top and bottom and H S G or(C) and the number 5610 as the marks on the bottom side. Anybody know anything about point of origin or time frame.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Duke

Greek key band around bottom. Dutch or Belgium windmills. Probably early 1900's. Need a full view.

Dutch was my guess.

Dutch decor. Dont think it is as late as 1950's, Still I think early 1900's from style. Flower vase or sometimes even called funeral vase. Very nice. Appears to be in good condition. Just give it a little polish.

I guess I will continue to keep searching. Someday I will find out about it. It's just been a mystery to me,even after searching thru books at the library,I would have thought something would turn up by now.

thanks to everyone for your suggestions.

happy hunting

Hi Duke - Were you ever able to find any more on this vase?

Here some more pics of the silver plated vase.

I have a vase just like yours which I recently acquired and I wonder if you ended up getting rid of it and I now have it, or is mine another one just like it?

By the way, the more I research it; the more I'm thinking the HSC stands for the Homan Silverplate Company .... a company (that I read) was based in Cincinnati and went out of business in 1941.

I tend to agree with the idea that it may be the Hartford Silverplate Co.

This sounds similar to yours, may be of some help: Silver Forums at 925-1000.com
