After looking through the items that I have retrieved from my grandmothers house (recently passed). I was looking through some old spoons. One caught my attention, rather tarnished, I looked to see if there is any hallmarks, there was: J.Hollister Pure Coin J.F. Tozer with an etched name of "Carrie" on the handle itself. The actual spoon part appears to be hammered, and from the information that I have gathered "pure coin" was handmade flatware pre-civil war. I am working on getting a photo. Do any of you fine folks have any info?
