Old Spur? Maybe a piece of a horse harness?

Went on a quick hunt today and I found this 2 pointed piece of iron. It was found near an old farm house that was knocked down durning/after the Great Depression. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

If it's lead my first thought was battery connector as well. Too small for horse tack
