✅ SOLVED Old thingie, I dunno

Found this in an old part of the county in some forgotten woods. Not much else around, a spoon and a musket ball or two, but sign of a house or barn. I?m thinking part of a door knocker, it?s made of crudely cast brass or copper. Any ideas??

Maybe a hanger?Fastened to the wall and you hang stuff like a coat from the curled up part on the front?

The two angels blowing trumpets suggests a religious or death significance. The oval loop looks like something was once attached to the front - the narrow indentation looks designed. I think it is part of a larger whole.

I just noticed the size. I found where an angel or two angels can signify the day of resurrection. I wonder if it was part of a casket or gravestone ornament.

The thing I thought was strange is the left side screw hole under the cherub’s head isn’t drilled out, but another mystery solved nonetheless!
