Hello Everyone!
I've been using a detector since 1987. I've found some nice things over the years, but I wanted to share the best coins I've found. Back around 1994 I got exclusive permission to hunt a site from the revolutionary war era and it turned up some great coins, some from that period and others from when the structure was used for civilian uses much later. There's nothing left of it now, but it had seen use for around a century.
The oldest coin with a readible date that I found on the site was a 1729 King George the II copper, the oldest silver was a 1781 Spanish 1 Real.
Half Cents: 1797 and 1794. Large Cents 1794 and 1796 and a very badly worn Nova Caesarea (1786-1787)
That silver real was the first coin from the 1700's I ever found. That had to be one of the highest points of my entire time using a detector.
