Got out yesterday, but was to tired to post. Have to hike a couple of miles to trail. Great exercise, but worth the adventure... This weather were having has suddenly turned cold... Suppose to be a wet winter, ( El Nino ). It was the last best day for awhile. Took advantage of it. So, most of the usual horse shoes, really old nails, besides the horseshoe nails, pieces of chain. Worth mentioning, Musket round ball, shotgun shell UMC Co No 10 SG, WRA Co 38 S&W. Best finds are the two infantry buttons. One, is pretty smashed up, as most thing are from all the traffic over the years. One is in great shape. Both are the same, and were found in the same area. They are marked (dot) SCOVILLMFGCo(dot)WATERBURY. I'm no expert on dating the buttons, but what I could find was 1850 to 1865. Any input will be appreciated...
