Old weird mask signed inside

I'm thinking opera maybe someone can translate sig. Or the hand painted figure on the front for time period. Had to get it thought it was quite interesting. And odd

The character on the front is Pulcinella.

Very weird looked at it under loop it's hand painted and has the crack lines all over of aged oil paint

for a Krewe member too
maybe if you do a search of "Pulcinella Krewes", you might come up with something too
i just cant make out the sig

Maybe. It just doesn't speak "18th century" to me. It looks more like late Victorian romanticized. Like the images from the women's magazines and catalogs of that era.

And it may be a trivial point but there are no buckles on his shoes.

Picasso designed the original costumes for that to bad it's not his sig lol I'm guessing the signature is Italian though

Kind of looks like a older mask that may have been signed by someone at the play maybe had the mask already and brought it to the play
