Hey all!
Went out on my VERY FIRST field hunt. I have always only done standing homesteads or standing buildings. My whole world was opened. I've had access, sole access, to 45 acres where there were once at least 3 homesteads up until 1920. Then it was all turned to farmland. Needless to say, in an hour hunt I got my oldest and best coin in the 6 years I've been swinging a detector. 1820 capped bust and my first flat button. Scary, I know. I love relics but finds like this make it so worth it!

very nice find

Sounds like an awesome location. I love hunting fields. Capped bust anything (or a Flying Eagle) is at the top of my bucket list this year. Congrats!

Congrats! Old fields are my favorite place to hunt!

Congrats, more to come. HH!

Congrats on your oldest coin. A Capped Bust silver is a great coin.

Sounds like you have a beautiful place to hunt....congrats on your find....hope you uncover many more oldies!!

Congratz on your oldest coin! The hole is over the denomination. Is it a dime or quarter or what?
