Got out today from 6-2 with james at a old permission and a new 1704 permission. First time out in 2 months and before that was the middle of may!
I got my oldest copper to date...
A 1701 William III
And my first 2 reale from mexico city 1782
Along with these coins I had 2 unknown coppers (one at 12-13"!) and I believe a kg2.
Two tombacs, a flat colonial designed button that's beat up, and a colonial 2 piece.
1890 Indian head penny and my first croatel bell.
If anyone can give any ideas on the coppers or croatel bell let me know! Thanks and HH
P.S some of this wouldn't be possible if I didn't have my new used tornado coil from john at JMT detectors
So thanks for the great prices and awesome business!
Zach

Sweet finds, Congrats!!!:occasion14:

Great finds. Congratulations.

Really nice Zach!!!

Thanks all, and Ron! Everywhere is different. I've never found a silver Rosie or quarter or war nickle. I'd swap with you guys for a season if I could! Slim pickings with colonial coins usually.. not as abundant. Imagine the guys over seas with the romans :occasion14:

Great job with the Spanish! My first 2 Spanish silvers were both 1782-2 reales....so that coin brings back great memories for this guy

Simply awesome. Congrats!

great group of finds! my biggest denomination is a 1 Real so far. That must've been a great sight to see.

BTW, it's "real" for singular, or "reales" for plural. There is no "reale" (it'd be pronounced re-al-eh, which doesn't work, haha).

Awesome job with the old coppers and the two reales. The William III is a rare find in the U.S., and you just missed the 17th century. So I take it you like the NEL Tornado? I've been thinking about getting an oversized coil for my AT Pro for a while and would like to hear more about how it is working for you.

Stellar finds

Welcome to the Spanish silver club!

Great hunt! Oddly enough, I found my first crotal bell over the weekend. I was as excited about that as I was the large cents and other relics. Congrats!

Thanks tommy! Awesome to hear you found one as well. I was a bit more excited finding the croatel bell then the toasted coppers(another turned out to be kg1) but the real and William really got me excited. Had to have my buddy wash the real off for me. Was my first big silver and was afraid it was nothing or gonna be blank. But I heard him yell Carlos so that made me feel so much better! Lol. Thanks again and happy hunting

Thank! It was a nice surprise, for sure. And good to know, thank you! Gl & hh
