Omega Geneve Dynamic & 18kt & Sterling

I took a trip to the beach this weekend and hit my usual thrift stores. Not much there but on my way to the last one I spied a new store I've never seen before. And what a good store it was. The first thing I noticed was this lady's Omega Geneve Dynamic automatic watch. It appears to be gold capped but I can't find any markings so it might just be plated. Interestingly the lady that I checked out looked at it and looked at me and said she was sad to see it go. She said she had donated it and it had been given to her by her first husband in the 70s. I had to put $50 on it I think it's worth it. Man how I wish it was a man's watch ! I also saw the $7 earrings and they certainly had good color. I could see that they marked on the inside and suspected that they were Asian or middle eastern. I'll have to wait till I get home to be for sure but I believe they to be 18 karat gold. I also picked up some weighted sterling silver candle holders, Sterling topped led crystal salt shakers, coaster and a Sterling necklace. Also a 40% Ike dollar and a bag of leather watch straps along with a cool silver plated hockey souvenir spoon . All items were $1-3 each.

Had that been a men's Omega it'd be worth a ton!!

I've been having some good profit margins from popular name ladies wrist watches. Seems they always go to buyers in France or places in Asia. You definitely want to offer those to the international market.

NOICE! Your necklace is Silpada. $20-$30 all day. Update on the earrings? 18K+?

Thank you for that information. I was so excited by the watch I kind of ignored the necklace. The earrings acid tested to at least 18karat gold. By the way the watch works but the setting mechanism is messed up. I took it by my jeweler in the standard rate for Omega is $800 dollars to service the watch. It's no wonder that people are fleeing luxury Swiss watches. I am going to try to service it myself. Probably a stupid mistake but I need to bite the bullet. Here is a picture of the movement.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1494277628.091507.webp
