Hi everyone , I just purchased a Fisher CZ 21 for my beach and underwater detector for snorkel use also. I went out once so far and it seemed to work great, I am learning all the different tones and what settings to put it on but wow? it seems so heavy. I did use it on my belt and that seemed to help but it was so heavy it kept pulling down and falling off.., lol. I ordered a chest harness in hopes that it would help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Happy hunting!!!

You might want to look into a tool belt suspenders if you prefer wearing the control box around the waist when on the beach.

Thank you!

XP ORX is very lightweight.

Yowsers! I just looked at the specs on Amazon and it said 5 pounds! I don't do underwater, but my Tesoro Cibola at just over 2 pounds (they don't make them anymore) tore it up at the beach, and a salt water one at that. My XP Deus does well in salt water also, but I do not do underwater. The Minelab Equinoxes do well at the beach, they are water RESISTANT. Too much flexing of the head during normal use seems to cause leaks. They go at least as deep as anything I have used. The Deus is under 2 pounds and the Equinox (from memory) is 3 pounds.

Something else you can look into is the DetectorPro Detecting Pal Bungee harness. It works.
