Wow was it hot out today. Started at 7:00 a.m. like usual and went to 11:00. Luckily the yard had plenty of trees for shade the first few hours. The house was just torn down on Friday, and my hunting partner had been there 3 days last week. The place sat on about 1/2 acre. He did well pulling 39 Wheats and 5 silvers. We decided to go back again this morning as there was still plenty of dirt to dig in. I wont bore you with all the gory details, just enjoy the pics. One large compact case, 1 brass bedpost topper, 1 butter knife, 1 tag that has a farmers info and farm name on it from a town about 50 miles away, 1 sterling silver spoon, 3 Eisenhower dollar coins, 1 silver Washington Quarter, 1 silver Roosevelt, 2 Merc Dimes, 1 Presidential Cracker Jack token, and 2 Gemini Man in Space tokens. Not pictured were 7 Wheats. My hunting partner also pulled 2 - 1902 Great Seal buttons, and 5 more Wheats today. Total Wheats out of this yard so far is 51. Total silvers including the spoon is 10. The finds in this yard have been so good, I hardly noticed the heat ! Hope your all getting out and enjoying our hobby !

That was a solid hunt!
In fact, you crushed me...I went out today too...didn't even bother posting.... Yea, it was bad.

Absolutely awesome. Have only had one day in my 2 years of detecting finding that much silver. Congrats!!!

Congratualtions on the very productive hunt! The spoon and tokens are exceptional finds. :occasion14:

Wow! Did you plow up the silver or what! Congrats!

That spoon handle is certainly different looking. What is it?

Thanks MsBeepbeep. The handle seems to have similarities to a dragon type figure. Deep glaring eyes, long snout, and scaly alligator type skin-hyde. Dont know what it means, but it was found in a yard where the house was just torn down, and shows up on the 1920 plat map.

I'd trade all my clad for the year for a hunt like that.........just awesome!!

Maybe a special spoon, for celabrations.
