Fortunately, I got permission to hunt a small part of what used to be a town abandoned around 1900. There are stone foundations and stones cellar throughout the area. So far I just have permission on a small part. I pulled about 30 square nails of various sizes. Iron hits just everywhere /shakeshead. I use a bounty hunter quicksilver. The only interesting find so far was this. Not sure what it is though. Thanks for looking.

Looks like some kinda of pin maybe? Pretty neat, I would keep at that site there is probably something good there somewhere.

It has a hinge like clasp. The property owner welcomed me back anytime. I hope he is my ticket in with the other property owners. The constant iron hits were overwhelming. I'm used to city houses. I didn't even find a zincoln. Maybe by the time I work through some of the iron I will have my atpro .
