that's a good question! it was found at a spot that has produced quite a few old coins recently (barber quarter, SLQ, buffalo and v nickels, Indian heads, Mercuries and even a 1804 half penny!) i have no idea what the tag is or what it was used for. I'm hoping someone around here might have an idea. whats interesting (at least to me) is that my dad grew up in easton MD which is about a 2 1/2 hours drive from where this was found. one of those happy coincidences! of course he has no idea what this tag represents and had never heard of the one horse delivery company. i wasn't able to find anything about it on line. maybe the historical society in easton could shed a little light.
